At 16 days old I wasn’t planning on messing around with this little one even just a little bit.  When I got her into that super dreamy state she was all wrapped up, warm and cozy, and having experienced newborns from 5 to 20 days old, I knew that if I even attempted to unwrap her she would most definitely have woken up and I’m assuming she would not have been to happy with me.  Instead I decided to use the wrap in different ways, keeping it wrapped tight to her body at all times, and boy did it ever pay off.  She slept like a dream, and made it feel as though I was working with a 5 day old.  It gave us the opportunity to use many different props, and therefore a wide variety of images for ‘mom and dad’ to drool over.

This session was peaceful in every sense.  Sweet baby girl was happy as can be, ‘mom’ actually mentioned that it was the most relaxed she’s felt since giving birth, and I felt so at ease, and enjoyed some great conversation.

It was so very wonderful to meet the two of you.  I truly enjoyed the few hours we spent together on that bright and sunny morning.

This little guy is so very loveable.  I was so in awe with this little man that I actually asked ‘mom’ if I could keep him, and got a quick response of….no way!  He was so wonderful to work with.  I actually left the session thinking I’m in trouble with my next newborn session, as I was spoiled by his sleepiness and contentment.

As always, it was so hard for me to narrow this peek down to just a few images, and even more so because I’m heading out of town and may not get a chance to edit their entire gallery before we leave.

These two are 100% smitten with one another, you can just see their connection from the way that look at one another, not to mention the way soon-to-be dad sneaks a kiss from his lovely wife here and there.  I can just imagine how incredibly loved their new baby is going to be.

It was wonderful to meet the two of you, and the be given the pleasure of working with you at this amazing time in your lives.  I look forward to joining you in welcoming your baby in the weeks to come.

What can I say, I was completely smitten with this sweet pea the moment she came through my door.  With her features so perfectly in place, the little pout of her lower lip, to the head of super soft brown hair, she is quite a swoon worthy little button.

It was a great pleasure to be given the opportunity to work with this family and create some everlasting memories of their precious baby girl in her first few days.  I hope that you will forever cherish these images as your baby girl grows and changes over the years.

She spent most of the session awake, and had this very calm demeanour about her the entire time.  It was amazing to watch her lay in these super cute poses and just look around with those big peepers.

Their precious new baby boy was quite a sleepy little fella, every newborn photographers dream.  He was happy to be moulded and placed into a wide variety of adorable poses, and didn’t even mind when big sis came along to steal a kiss and have a little snuggle time.  Completely melt worthy moments if you ask me!

At 2.5 months she knows what she likes, and now, I do too.  Her favourite place to be is most definitely over mom or dad’s shoulder.  It was amazing how she went from getting herself all worked up, to being completely calm and relaxed once ‘dad’ got her into this position, she actually even fell asleep being held like this with ‘mom’.

What a fun age to work with!  I must admit I was a little concerned that posing would be a challenge but she did a wonderful job, and gave us a lot of variety with spending some time awake, and then dosing off into dream land.

Thank you ‘mom and dad’ for allowing me the pleasure of working with your beautiful baby girl.  She’s an absolute doll.  I can see how much she has touched your lives, and how smitten you both are with her.  Enjoy every moment!

What a wonderful bunch you were to work with!  From granddad’s storytelling, to grandma’s hugs and kisses, these four children were kept entertained as much as possible, and they co-operated very well with myself and one another.  You can imagine the difficulty in working with a family of this size, however, this family made me feel very at ease, and as though my job was easy breezy, so I thank you for that, each and every one of you!

As well as the candid approach, we also captured some more traditional family portraits which I’ve decided to save and share with the family in their private online gallery.

It absolutely blows my mind how much a child grows and changes in their first year of life.  Little miss still looks very much like she did when she was a newborn, of course with matured features, but still that same adorable little face, and sweet demeanour.

‘Mom’ could not have styled her precious little girl any better for her ‘first birthday’ session.  The soft pink tones, paired with her soft fair skin are completely melt worthy, and the switch from regular laces to pink ribbon was genius.  It’s those little details that really do make all the difference.

Thank you for sharing your sweet baby girl with me once again.  It was an absolute treat to work with her again.  I hope she has a wonderful, memorable first birthday!

For the small period of time that we did manage to get him asleep, we worked precisely and quickly.  No experimenting with new poses here.  I knew we had a small window of sleepy time to work with and managed to capture as much as I could as quickly as I could.  It all payed off in the end!

Both awake and asleep this baby boy was super fun to work with.  He allowed me plenty of snuggle time and was as content as a baby can be.
