How do I reset my Commercial Electric Downlight bulbs? Start with the bulb off. Turn the light on for 3 seconds and then turn the light off for 3 seconds. Repeat this on/off step a total of 5 times.

However, some LEDs have a built-in driver. For example, LED lights designed for home generally come with an integrated driver, so you might not need to buy an external driver for them. Low voltage LEDs, outdoor-rated lights, tape lights, however, generally need a separate LED driver.

Wire the positive terminal of the driver to the positive terminal of the LED fixture's input. Connect the negative terminal of the driver's output to the negative terminal of the LED's input. (Driver to the power supply) Link the positive terminal of the driver's input to the positive pole of the power supply.

There are also constant-current LED drivers with 6 volts to 24 volts and are suitable for some types of LED lights. Still, their compatibility is not universal.

Without a driver in place, the mains power would be too strong and damage the electronic device. All LEDs need drivers, but only some LED lamps require you to pair up your LED lighting with a driver.

Perform a Reset

To perform the factory reset on the Essentials Downlight, switch the Downlight off, wait for 3 seconds, then switch it back on for no more than 1 second. Repeat this for a total of 5 cycles. If the reset is successful, the Downlight will flash red three times, and then it's ready to be paired again.

To Reset existing downlight: First power ON the downlight then switch ON/OFF 5 times (OFF period should be 1-2 seconds). Then the downlight should starts blinking. If the light does not blink and stays ON, repeat the process.
